ANDY GILL – GANG OF FOUR: podcast especial póstumo (Acto de Fe 9 feb, 2020)
El pasado 1 de febrero nos dejó sorpresivamente a los 64 años el soberbio guitarrista Andy Gill, guitarrista y motor de la influyente agrupación Gang Of Four.
Fundada en 1976 en Leeds, Inglaterra, Gang of Four se erigió en una de las bandas más irreverentes de la primera era post punk, gracias a un punzante sonido bailable que mezclaba la urgencia punk con rítmica funk.
El disco debut Entertainment!, publicado en 1979, es sin duda uno de los más importantes del rock, con la guitarra sincopada y funky de Andy Gill.
Dedicaremos este especial a revisar la carrera de Gill, único miembro original, quien mantuvo hasta el final el vigoroso sonido de Gang of Four, tal como comprobamos el año pasado en el concierto en Madrid.
